The Ulu or Breadfruit was an important staple of the Polynesians. It was the source of strength and energy. To the Hawaiians, the Ulu was also the symbol of Eternal Life. This picture of the Ulu was drawn by Lauren Elizabeth Kahn, the grandniece of Paul Markham Kahn.
