Rick Kahn has been a Foundation Board member since 2008. He owns and manages Sequoia Telecom Associates, a consulting firm providing business and strategic support to telecommunications service providers. He has worked with telephone companies, broadband providers and utilities around the world to develop business and technology solutions to the challenges of competing in this rapidly changing market.
Prior to founding Sequoia, he was a Managing Director at BearingPoint, a Partner at KPMG Consulting and Vice President at San Francisco Consulting Group. Rick began his professional career at Sprint where he held management positions in Marketing, Operations and Engineering.
Rick holds Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Economics from University of California at Santa Barbara.
He lives in San Rafael, CA with his wife Joanne. They are avid travelers and outdoors enthusiasts.
